12/4/19 Nouraldeen Ibrahim -Character Wallet- Who is the richest character?

My group started off by gathering all of our items into our wallets. We had various items that describe the personality and characteristics of Banquo. For example, we had a credit card, library card, and a picture of Fleance. This project is meant for us to understand the qualities of different characters based on their wallets. Our group plans to split the work by having each person speak about the items they made and analyze the quotes by relating it to their item.

Mickey D's:

The group, Mickey D's, made their wallets based on the Porter. The first item in the wallet was a alcohol coupon since the porter appeared and stated that he was intoxicated in the play. Additionally, Owen presented another aspect of the porter which is his desires, and they displayed this by putting pictures of woman in his wallet. This helps him gain pleasure from looking at this because from the quotes seen of him it is obvious that he yearns for pleasure. Also, the group had a few other items that displayed the main characteristics of the porter which are needing to satisfy and seeking pleasure. Adult diapers was another aspect of the wallet since the porter would need when he needs to urinate which is a side effect of drinking. The final items they had were coins which the porter gathered by "doing his job" and asking for tips.

Macdeath:

The Murders were the characters the group Macdeath used, which did not come as a surprise based on their group name. Firstly, they showed ids of the murders which did not contain there real names and were probably stolen. The reason they gave for this is that they are murders and are looking to conceal their identity. Also, there are pennies inside the wallet to show that the murders are not rich and are doing this job because of that. They also have a receipt which is from the dollar tree where they bought knives. Dollar tree was the chosen location for buying the knives since it was cheapest and gave the murders an opportunity to save money. They also bought a Bible from dollar tree because internally they are moral, and are just attempting to kill Banquo and Fleance for the money. They also have napkins to wipe the blood of the crime since they aren’t smart, which is the reason they end up as murders. Also, they have a map of where Banquo will be killed to plan out the scene and know the steps they will take. Furthermore, they have a key since the murderers are giving Banquo the path to heaven or hell after they kill him. The murders also have pictures of Macbeth since they adore him and believe he is doing good for them. They also have a picture of Fleance as their suspect because they are manipulated to not like him by Macbeth. Finally, they have an exaggerated photo of Banquo since Macbeth has also convinced them Banquo is their enemy.

Ross:

The group Ross used Macbeth as their character. In his wallet, Macbeth had a miniature dagger that he was hallucinating. He has been so absorbed in his desires he no longer thinks his crazy but carries it around which makes his conscience is fade away. The next item is his ID which is regular and normal and describes Macbeth with his characteristics. He also has a crown in the wallet because that is what he wants so he keep it their to keep his ambition and motivate himself. The wallet also had a sword and dagger shop business card so Macbeth has a better way to buy the weapons. One of the few good things in the wallet was a picture of Lady Macbeth that was in bad quality. The group says this was to symbolize the bad inner qualities of Lady Macbeth.

King Duncan Donuts Gift Card:

This group also chose the porter and his wallet was empty in money since he wastes it on drinking. He is a messy person, which is why one of the items in his wallet was his keys. He has a bottle of advil since he drinks a lot and gets headaches and needs these pills to reduce them. Additionally, they also put an exclusive wine membership card since he is always drinking. Similar to Mickey D's they also have a crumbled up paper from a lady so he can satisfy his desires.

Voldemort:

Macbeth was done again by the group, Voldemort. The first thing in their wallet is a picture of Lady Macbeth who Macbeth is scared of. They explain that Macbeth is actually scared of her and uses her as a fuel to his ambition. They also have a criminal defense lawyers business card because Macbeth knows he’s guilty and needs support and defense. Their third item is the receipt of the dagger Macbeth bought to kill Duncan which is now a reality and he was able to do it. Voldemort also add lots of money to the wallet because Macbeth wants power and the money symbolizes power and wealth and Macbeth wants both. Finally, they have a small piece of tissue where Macbeth writes his victims including Duncan, Banquo, and Fleance. Duncan is the only character crossed out since he was already killed by Macbeth

Reflection:
Overall, I learned that characters each have unique qualities and characteristics. Seeing the characters wallets is a great way of understanding this since you base their belongings on their actions. While using my own creativity to create items suitable for Banquo I understood his character in a deeper level when I read all his quotes and the descriptions other characters have for him. This opportunity also made me and my peers educated on the other characters from the analysis we each gave. For instance, I understood that the Porter may seem uneducated but is actually very smart and provides interesting lessons. Shakespeare uses him as comic relief since while he may be drunken and overcome by his desire, you can relate this to Macbeth's situation. Macbeth is not in control of what he does (Lady Macbeth is) and he is similarly overtaken by his desires to remain king.
I learned this so I can understand Macbeth more clearly while visualizing each character using the items created for them. I will use what I learned for future characterization because making my own inferences about characters based on evidence and use of literary devices is an easy way for me to understand the characters true qualities. All in all, I believe making character wallets was a unique experience that combined the different elements of a character into regularly found items in a wallet, in order to regroup everything that can be concluded about a character.
