Aim : How does Animal Farm demonstrate persuasive manipulation?

   What is Persuasion?
- A mean of convincing people: to buy a certain product, to believe something or act a certain way, and to agree with a point of view.

Types of Persuasion we experience on a daily basis
 - Slogans - a catchy phrase or statement often used to sell a service or a product
Example: When someone says “Just Do It” most people think of Nike, by making a slogan for others to remember them by or associate them to.

-Ethos (Testimonies) - a well known person supports a product or service
Example - When a famous celebrity is in an Ad, you might be more per swayed to buy the product because someone famous says they use that product.

-Pathos (Emotional Appel)- A person mad to have a strong feeling about a situation or product
Example- Car insurance Ads, where someone crashes their car and their car is wrecked, and it proceeds by saying if they switched to the company earlier they could of avoided the fees.

-Bandwagon- A statement that everyone is using a specific product, so you should too
Example - a clothing Ad where all the “cool kids” are wearing a certain brand and everyone wants to be like them, making you feel like if you want to be “cool” you have to buy from that brand

-Logos (Expert Opinion) - Experts that approve the product, so you should use it
Example- “ Four out of Five dentist recommend sugar less gum for their patients that chew gum.”

Everyday we are exposed to persuasion, even if you realize it or not, by ads, radios, or signs on the street. We easily get fooled into these persuasion if we are not aware of the real meaning behind many ads and etc.
