At this current point in time, what specific goal(s) do you have for yourself? Why?
As of right now, my main goal is to choose a college that is right for me.
Among the colleges that have admitted me, they all have different pros and cons
relating to their costs, locations, and curriculum. I want to be an entrepreneur one
day, and picking the college that will give me the needed experience is very important
to me. I also want to feel confident when making my decision. Some college
admission processes can be confusing due to a complicated admissions website
or simply a lack of information available, while others colleges can smoothly and
reliably relay information. I want to know as much as I can about my options and
will find other ways to get this information.
How do you demonstrate resilience towards achieving this goal? (or these goals?)
I want to talk to as many people as I can about different colleges that I'm interested
in, and I’m making sure that the information they’re giving me isn’t biased or over
exaggerated. I want to be completely neutral with my opinions of certain colleges,
and knowing as much as I can about them will help me achieve this goal. I’m also
looking on the internet for peoples advice and opinions. I’ve found sites like
collegeessayguy, reddit, and collegexpress to be very helpful.
How does the world around you affect your perception of this goal? (or these goals?)
The people of the college admissions world can sometimes be vague, or even
biased at times. To make sure I am not in any way ignorant, I will talk to as
many people in the college admissions world as I can and try to form my own
outlook on my colleges. I’ve found that other people, like family, teachers, and
friends are often more straightforward and reliable when it comes to college
information. I am very thankful for everyone who has been willing to help me
through something so confusing.
