In the current day and era, fear of disease and death is prevalent in the news and media, due to a virus called the coronavirus, this virus also single handedly knocked out the NYC education department, much like the famous boxer Rocky. During this time we have been reading a book called "Interview with a vampire" neat book Louis seems to be a nice chill lad, minus the whole blood thing. The book seems to center on the idea of morality as it applies to humans and as it applies to things that aren't human. The book does this with a contrast between, good best boy, Louis, and evil worst boy, Lestat. Lestat is probably the closest thing you'll get to a stereotypical vampire, kills for fun, eats more than he should, has crippling depression due to his inability to cope with his newfound immortality. Louis on the hand having been human, and becoming a vampire by choice intentionally avoids harming other humans, and entertains himself not by killing, but by exploring the limits of vampire sensory input, or staring at the night sky for several hours. Honestly this book couldn't have been more sarcastically placed, oh your entire contrg is being threatened with a deadly disease, here hear about creatures immune to all deadly diseases.
The good thing about the situation was that mrs. Fusaro, in her infinite wisdom, told us to write a prompt about a vampire, to which I responded "book" and proceeded to write a book, about vampires who are under oppression by the government they live under, an analogy for how we as a society treat others less fortunate than ourselves. I am up to halfway on chapter two. Help.
So while the world sniffles in quarantine, we have been reading and writing about vampires, for a truly grand experience.
