Working from home can be a blessing in disguise. It could either give you the motivation to wake up early and get all of your work done during school hours, or it could make you lazy to the point that you wake up past noon every day and barely get any work done. The first week of online school, I was unable to get up at a reasonable time, and I would waste my days doing nothing, but after a week of that I realized that not going to school gives you an opportunity to better yourself and work on your own projects. Being able to invest your time into something while on quarantine is the opportunity of a lifetime to better yourself.
Currently there are 134,436 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in New York City. Experts believe that NYC is currently in the Plateau period of the outbreak. This means That confirmed cases per day have stopped growing exponentially as they did before, but are rather staying constant throughout the past 2 weeks. The same could be said for coronavirus related deaths. If people in NYC continue to distance themselves and stay home, It is very possible that the amount of confirmed cases per day would drop very soon. In addition to this, many government officials think it is a good time to start reopening the United States.
I personally think that more and more New Yorkers will be leaving their houses and will start enjoying the warmer weather. I am not sure how big the impact it will have on the current situation, but I know it will definitely prolong the time we will have to keep isolated. I myself have been staying inside most days of the week, only leaving my house for work and on occasion, to skateboard. This situation is really crazy, and i have never expected to have school cancelled for months at a time, but it is for the better and we will hopefully come back stronger when this  all ends.
