What is it like working from home?
At first, learning from home, not having to waste time traveling back and forth to school seems like an awesome experience right? You have more flexibility in determining how to manage your time dedicated to coursework or for your hobbies. But, after being stuck at home since school closures, it becomes boring without being able to socially interact with my friends or physically being able to go outside. I also think the amount of knowledge I obtain from remote-online learning is far compared to learning in a classroom setting in which there is a teacher to instruct and guide lessons. I miss the deep discussions about our reading or even the anxiety build up when I get “ghosted”.

Your personal feelings and thoughts about what is happening right now
Right now, I do not know exactly how I feel about what is happening currently because of how quickly everything is occurring all at once. For the past few days, I have been keeping track of the COVID 19 cases in the U.S and the numbers are continuously rising. It was depressing when school closure was announced to be extended for the rest of the 2020 school year because this meant that all the senior events, the farewells, our graduation… is all postponed. I hope this pandemic will quickly go past and hope everything will return back to normal soon.
Write about your thoughts regarding the reading.
In The Interview With A Vampire, many common themes such as: betrayal, temptation, love/hate, good/evil. The book starts off with a vampire, Louis, being interviewed by a young interviewer in which Louis talked about his life story, his transition into a vampire and how it changed his life forever. Despite having to adapt to a completely different lifestyle such as sleeping in a coffin or feeding off humans, Louis still maintains some of the morals and beliefs he had pre-vampire life; he disapproves of Lestat's violent acts and became the “mother figure” of Claudia. I think some lessons that are depicted in the book can be applied to us, such as determination and having hope- Louis was lost, felt guilty for his brother’s death and sought for self-destruction but got back together after Louis found another goal/someone else that relies on him.
